The musical text, structuring concept of a university teaching of musical interpretation

The teaching and learning of musical interpretation at University can be approached in a different way from that inherited by educational tradition. Today there are concepts and theoretical frameworks which invite us to review and transform the traditional teaching model in this field. In turn, the University states how the teaching- learning process should be by providing the new theories and concepts with institutional support. On what theoretical-conceptual principles can a possible transformation in the teaching-learning process of musical interpretation at University be based? What institutional guidelines support and demand this transformation? To start giving answers, the concept of “musical text” is suggested here.
