Abstract

This article aims at examining the work of Chiharu Shiota (Osaka, 1972) and its contemporary characteristics. To do so, the 2021 exhibition The Soul Trembles at Taipei Fine Arts Museum in Taiwan is considered as a study case. Different works were shown there among which the installations stood out. These presented new senses as well as several ways to consider art. Thus, the art field can be tensed and the space-time situation, proper of contemporaneity, can be analyzed.
