Abstract

On the occasion of the recent call by the Ministry of Justice of the Nation to discuss the reform of law 22.278, has been pushed again the process of regulatory transition in the field of children. It should be recalled that the Argentine State, since it does not have a law that establishes a new system of juvenile criminal responsibility according to the CIDN, has been urged by the international community to act accordingly. It is therefore essential not to lose this opportunity to reflect on this issue, universities should be involved to contribute with the knowledge produced, and thus to hope that the new legislation enjoys the highest legitimacy and is able to truly guarantee the Rights of children, girls and adolescents.
