Abstract

This paper aims at displaying the importance of the method of Roman jurists on the activity of the judges from the 21st century. In this way, starting from a juridical view different from the one experienced during the last centuries, the way to understand the Law on the part of roman jurists may influence and may be of
great use for our current magistrates who deal with —pursuant to the evolution of society— harder and more complex tasks. This is why, the purpose of this paper is to make a brief overview of the relevance of roman jurists and, from this position, to demonstrate that roman law is still an unavoidable teaching source for current jurists, especially —in this case— for those who exercise jurisdiction.
