Abstract

access to justice for women affected by gender based violence is a human rights (see CEDAW and “Belém do Pará” Conventions and others). Empirical evidence showed that the judicial response on this matter in Buenos Aires City in year 2004 constituted institutional violence against women. By 2018, has this picture changed? By carrying out literature review of reports and research on this matter I outline developments produced since then, pointing out critical issues and prevalence challenges.
