The emergence of the Internet, as well as the presence of new devices for access to musical listening, radically affected the ways teens relate to music. The conformation of the musical taste of teenagers should be thought in relation to the dominant ways of music circulation. Although in the early days of the Internet, access to musical goods, as to many other cultural goods, seemed to refer to an extreme anarchy and democracy of cultural goods, the current Internet space dominated by social networks does not seem to be defined by freedom. The patterns that affect access are others, in which the collaborative logic overlaps with the logic of the great record companies, which beyond the massive extension of Internet access are still crossed by both social classes and also by the peer group and the domain of the majors of the virtual space. The goal of this article is to analyze if there is a connection between the constant Internet access of teenagers in Buenos Aires and their musical taste. Several researches based on digital music platforms usually confirm that rock no longer massively prevails in adolescent musical taste, confirming their predilection for reggaetone. The point is enquiring if this reggaetone domain crosses all social classes. Also if the choice or preference of certain musical genres depends on the situation and the context in which music is heard.
