This paper comes from our experience as mentors, from 2019 to 2021, within the Peer Mentoring Program at the Faculty of Psychology (Universidad Nacional de La Plata). First, we describe the Peer Mentoring Program and its central objectives. Then, we clarify how it defines the role of mentors and what are the nuances that we found, from our experience, in the role before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. Later in the article, we give details about the interventions that we carried out virtually and what our feelings were when embodying this role.
