The global pandemic of COVID-19 and the preventive measures implemented have had an impact on the mental health of the population. Faced with this, it was necessary to find new ways to continue offering accessible forms of mental health care, following the logic of primary health care and appealing to responsible manners and positions of exercising the professional role in this context. Creativity in this sense turned out to be a privileged tool that allowed the creation of new forms of care such as the orientation and support device (hereinafter DOC, for its initials in Spanish). This telephonic attention is carried out by professionals of a public hospital in the city of Comodoro Rivadavia, Chubut. The following article is a reading of the creation and functioning of the device in articulation with theoretical contributions of various authors.
