How do we perceive our bodies?
Body canons in Antiquity and their influence on the consolidation of body stereotypes today

This article presents a didactic sequence which both authors developed in the subject History of Visual Arts in 2nd year of Bachillerato de Bellas Artes, UNLP. One of the main objectives was to generate the practical and theoretical framework to reflect on the worldviews which have emerged around the body representations incorporated as object of study in the stories which the History of the Arts has traditionally built, and to expand the vision and possible reflections on the topic to the most enriching area which enables us to problematize our visual culture.
