Abstract

The article works on the ideational production of United States´ think tanks regarding Brazilian international projection and performance. In a context in which the US are lacking a consolidated strategy to deal with so-called emergents, think tanks´ produc-tion-aiming at influencing policies´formulation – is representative of ordinary views and disputed options within Washington´s political environment. The paper asserts that views regarding Brazil and its performance in regional and global fields are over-whelmingly favorable and that think tanks recommend the US to support the Brazili-an projection as the best way to preserve its interests within an upcoming multipolar order.
