Abstract

The subject Organic Chemistry II is taught at the Faculty of Exact Sciences for different careers. It is a subject of the fifth quarter, it is found after a basic training cycle of two years. It is one of the most important basic subjects for these careers, since its contents focus on the study of the structures and reactivity of bioorganic molecules. Despite being a very important subject, mainly due to its contents, its practical laboratory work has some deficiencies. These problems are related to its theoretical, conceptual, didactic organization and also to its implementation. In this sense, we carry out a diagnosis of the situation and carry out an innovation proposal with a format of "Experimental Practice Workshop in Organic Synthesis". This workshop is proposed as the replacement unit, in the subject program, of the current laboratory practices. It seeks to generate a superior proposal through the incorporation of a space for practice of excellence, individual work and reflection; intending to contribute to professional training in consistency with the graduate profile of the careers that include the subject.
