This article intends to analyze the phenomena of profiling and filter bubble developed by Internet companies such as Google and Facebook. The underlying standpoint is that these phenomena have an adverse impact on the quality of information that a regular Google and Facebook user has access to. Moreover, this paper intends to draw an insight over the implications that these phenomena have on the debates about liability of Internet intermediaries, using case studies from 2012 to 2016.
