Abstract

From a socio-technical approach, the aim of this paper is to reconstruct the R&D process for the treatment of
ovine brucellosis through nanotechnologies. This research wants to contribute to the debate on the role of
emerging technologies in the development of animal health strategies. Nanotechnologies have become a central topic in the policy agenda in which the problems related to the agro-food system have received a large number of resources. As a result, we highlight that this development generate new capacities and learnings. However, conflicts arise about the social utility of the generated knowledge.
