The study of new problems and innovations aimed at improving organizational management constitutes a central idea of scientific research in the administrative area. Ciencias Administrativas Journal spreads empirical research results and new conceptual approaches, as a way to foster management efficiency and organizational development.
In this opportunity, we present number 22 of Ciencias Administrativas Journal, corresponding to the July-December 2023 period. This issue includes a review, five scientific articles and two essays by authors from Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay and Mexico.
The review refers to the book “Understanding organizations…finally! Structuring in sevens” by Henry Mintzberg, Berrett-Koehler Publishers Inc., 2023.
The following scientific articles have been selected: “Quality Analysis of Data in Public and Private Statistics, in Light of Big Data implementation”, “Analysis of SME e-commerce adoption and its relationship with local institutions”, "Epistemic opacity and transparency in platform economy. Organizations that produce, support and
recreate them.”, “Amazon Board of Directors: An above-average representation by women and commitment to a fully sustainable business”, and “Environmental management in SMEs in Mexico City”.
This edition is completed by two essays: “Information System Adequacy of the National Emergency System in Uruguay in the Covid-19 pandemic context” and “Identification of Opportunities and its Impact on Entrepreneurial Intentions.”
We hope that the studies will contribute to promote the discussion of these topics and be attractive to the readers´ interests. We would like to thank the authors, reviewers and the editorial team for their contributions to the quality of this journal.
