Abstract

This article focuses on a general guiding question about creativity and Early Childhood. What is creativity in early childhood? This work has as axis of analysis and theoretical positioning, psychoanalytic theory, particularly Winnicott's conceptual developments, conceptualizations of Analytical Music Therapy and the perspective of Music Therapy in Early Childhood. From these positions, the theoretical concepts and constructs related to the topic will be analyzed. This also gives rise to specific questions about the place of play in early childhood, specifically within a music therapy setting and about the assessment of creativity. The theoretical support covers different concepts to then be able to approach the analysis of a music therapy clinical case of a 3-year-old child, through a clinical vignette and two audios, recordings that he made in session, with the aim of making a theoretical-clinical articulation.
