Estímulos musicais para o cuidado

A atenção plena (mindfulness) tornou-se cada vez mais popular em espaços terapêuticos e não terapêuticos como uma forma de lidar com o estresse, a mudança e a incerteza. Aqui, compartilhamos nossa compreensão da prática de atenção plena e um resumo das descobertas de quatro estudos exploratórios sobre estímulos musicais originais que podem apoiar essas práticas. Compartilhamos as características musicais específicas que os participantes de nossos quatro estudos iniciais preferiram e acharam eficazes e úteis. Mais pesquisas ainda são necessárias para determinar os resultados clínicos. No entanto, esta informação pode fornecer um ponto de partida para os musicoterapeutas explorarem a criação de sua própria música para a prática de mindfulness. Referências a relatórios de pesquisa publicados são fornecidas para o profissional interessado.
