Transición hacia las urnas, confusión inicial y Plan Austral: Argentina, 1982-87

Abstract

This paper describes and analyzes the performance of the Argentine economy from mid 1982, when economic policy is politized as a result of the transition to democracy, to mid 1987, when again, the politization of the economic policy, in addition to the lack of action on the fundamentals, generated a revival of inflation after the temporary stability achieved in mid 1985 through Austral plan.
