The results shown in the paper are an additional evidence about the declining capacity of job creation of the industrial sector. It is usual to relate unemployment with the existence of rigidities, regulations and wages and labor costs inflexibilities. But many technological change and the increasing participation of women in labor markets are paramount. No employment problem arose as far as the rates of output growth were high enough to absorb technical change.
