Precios, causalidad y dinero en Argentina
Keywords:
dineroAbstract
This issue proposes to study empirically the relationship between money (Mt porcentual variety of notes and coins in the hands of the public and deposits in the current accounts -Mi-) and prices (Pt porcentual variety of the general level of whole sale prices) in Argentina during the last 25 years, approximately. It is concluded that the causal relationship between prices and money in Argentina is changing. Likewise the relationship between prices and money is different in our country as regards countries with lower inflation rates. While in the rest of the world and the industrialized countries mainly, it exists a long period of time between the change in Mt and Pt that reaches 2 or 3 years, in our country it doesn't exist relevant effects farther on a year's time.
