Abstract

This paper analyses some of the existing regional integration models, trying to discern similarities and disparities. Focusing to the process of the FTAA -FTA (Free Trade Area of the Americas - Free Trade Agreements), of the CSN-UNASUR (South American Community of Nations - Union of South American Nations) and the ALBA-TCP (Bolivarian Alternative for the Peoples of America - Treaty of Commerce of the People), we will make special emphasis on this latter proposal.
