In 2020 the journal International Relations started the Online First system. This means that we have left behind the traditional format, according to which articles were published as a whole and semiannually, according to the date of publication of the issues.
The Online First system releases articles one by one, as they are received, peer-reviewed and edited. This model has a number of advantages, not only because it shortens the deadlines and waiting times of the editorial process, benefiting all the participants involved, but mainly because it speeds up the social circulation of the knowledge produced and enhances its use by our readers. Hoping that these changes will result in a better use of the material published in International Relations, we are deeply grateful to our readers, authors and reviewers.
