Abstract

This piece of writing is a reflection on the issue of violence against women as one of the most bloody signs of social violence in our country. The aim is to pinpoint some clues to understand the Latin American context in view of the political and economical roots of the problem in the region. To begin with, the issue  isapproached on two different levels:1- The laws passed and in force in the province of Buenos Aires as an attemp of meeting pending debts . 2- Professional practices and the previous step, the training of lawyers. Finally, the focus is on the partial results of the ongoing projects under our responsibility as Main Reseachers: a) Violence agaisnt women, the discourse at play and Access to Justice and b) Access to Justice and the isolation of the Administration of Justice Conflicts within the family and poverty in the jurisdictions of La Plata, Mercedes and Junin.
