Abstract

A simple model of general equilibrium –two factors and two goods- is analyzed in this paper, studying the comparative statics of changes in the equilibrium positions of the variables due to accumulation of factor. Two contexts are distinguished: a closed economy and an open economy (in this case changes due to variations in the terms of trade are also considered). The issues discussed are the structures of production, consumption, foreing trade and income distribution. The mathematical results are studied in terms of the different effects arising from the technical conditions of production and from the characteristic of demand.
