DIELS-ALDER CICLOADITION OF FURAN ON WATER

Abstract

In this review, the most relevant methodological aspects of the Diels Alder cycloaddition carried out on molecules containing the furan fragment are compiled when water is used as a reaction medium. The chemical implications described by the authors in their publications are also summarized. In general, these studies have contributed to the understanding of the Diels Alder cycloaddition. The synthetic methodology with water as a reaction solvent can be developed at the preparatory level and as a key step in advanced research.
