In the last decades the concept of "Social Responsibility" and "Sustainability" has gained space in the organizational sphere; in the sense of setting in companies the conception of being socially responsible for their actions, in the ethical, social, economic and environmental fields. Although this process of change has been successful, there is still a long way to go to consolidate the organizations within the principles and parameters of social and sustainably responsible.
In this sense, we must not overlook the fact that universities are not unrelated to the concept of Social Responsibility; because they are complex units whose purpose is to train professionals with a high level knowledge and that this acquired knowledge will be transformed into results that will contribute to the development of living conditions of society.
The aim of this article is to make an interpretation of some management aspects of the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja and based on this to generate a critical analysis of its model of university social responsibility; which links substantive functions with their Stakeholders, identified as authorities, officials, teachers, employees, students and society in general.
