Quality and University Social Resposibility: Axes for a new model of education
Keywords:
Educational Quality, Higher Education, University Social Responsibility.Abstract
The Quality of the Higher Education and University Social Responsibility are two themes that currently occupy a central place in the debates and national educational agendas. Given this centrality and deepening the line referring to the quality of university education on which we have been working with the Red ECUALE (1), progress has been made on possible links or associations that appear to exist between both issues, considering whether the most widespread quality notions contemplate (or not) the effects and the impact that college actions entails for different actors or groups involved. This essay has been proposed to bring an answer to the question "what is the meaning of quality of university education?" While at the same time has been made a first approach or inquiry as to whether or not this concept involves implicit ethical principles and constitutive axes that make the university social responsibility.
