In this issue the collaboration of Martin Tetaz - section "Central theme" - addresses the social question and governance in the integration processes. These processes have economic repercussions, which vary according to the type of integration chosen to implement them.
The institutionality of the MERCOSUR dispute settlement system - "Studies" section - is the subject faced by Clara Amzel-Ginzbur. Since the very creation of the scheme, the Treaty of Asuncion that gave rise to it, in Annex III, established embryonic a way of resolving conflicts.
In the "Opinion" section, Susana Herrero Olarte analyzes the application of credit systems to access agricultural investment in marginalized and isolated rural communities in Latin America. In reference to traditional microcredit application methodologies, the author points out that among the Different options for investment through credit to achieve food security, there are three options that are generally used: credit lines, Solidarity Group Programs (PGS) and Local Financial Structures (EFL) or communal banks.
