Abstract

In this issue of Trayectorias Universitarias, we propose to pause on a question that, although present since the very emergence of the university as an institution, has taken on renewed urgency in the contemporary landscape: the relationship with knowledge. In a context marked by accelerated cultural transformations and the emergence of new social problems, it becomes essential to reconsider the ways in which the university produces, transmits, and legitimizes knowledge.

It is also an honor to highlight that this question is addressed in this issue through the recovery of a pivotal and foundational perspective in current educational debates, thanks to the committed and generous work carried out by Bernard Charlot and Soledad Vercellino, coordinators of the dossier.

Sadly, as we were closing this issue, we were deeply moved by the news of Bernard Charlot passing. His absence leaves profound sorrow, yet it invites us to value with special gratitude the contribution he offers here, inscribed in a legacy as vast as it is generous. In recognition of this, we include a profile and tribute prepared by his colleague, Soledad Vercellino.
