Abstract

The participation of the Colombian business sector in the negotiation of two integration processes, such as the Group of Three, concluded by that country in 1994 along with Mexico and Venezuela, as well as in the Pacific Alliance, which in 2012, in addition to Colombia and Mexico Sum to Chile and Peru, is addressed in the section "Central Theme" of this issue by Rita Giacalone.
A study by Amalia Stuhldreher on "Climate change and sustainable development in Latin American lagging regions is published in the" Studies "section. A look from the Northeast of Uruguay ". The accent is placed on sustainable development, climate change, territorial governance in the Northeast of that member country of MERCOSUR.
The Parliaments of two Latin American integration processes, one from the Mercosur region -PARLASUR, author Rita Gajate- and the other from the Central American -PARLACEN, author Juan Carlos Fernández Saca-, are the subject of the opinion section. Of these two essentially deliberative bodies, their characteristics, their functioning, their evaluation of their citizenship in their respective areas and some of the proposed reform projects are indicated.
